Chai For Two

www.myspace.com/chai4two is the eclectic duo of Knud Stuwe on guitar and David Mowat, trumpet/flugel horn. Playing modern jazz, swing, French cafe and klezmer, they expand their humorous and dynamic repertoire constantly. Both are heavily involved in this summer's Bristol Ecoshow (www.ecoshow.co.uk)

Carl and the Gypsy Cats

Carl and the Gypsy Cats sprung out of the streets of Bath like a sunflower out of a dustbin. It was an unseen affair, but the climate was just right. Their gypsy - style jazz music combines jazz improvisation with flamenco influenced rhythms and overtones, and is heavily influenced by Belgian guitarist Django Reinhardt, Stefan Grapelli and the screwball antics of the Cabaret Voltaire, Zurich 1916. Founding members Carl ‘Coyote' Stevens and Adam ‘Rollo' Barnetti have been working together for the past year and hope to expand their musical repertoire, alongside their wallets and waistbands in the not too distant future.

Deadlegs

Sounding like The Cramps fronted by a leather-clad Nancy Sinatra, Deadlegs are bringing an exclusive and unique acoustic set to the Veggie Fayre. Taking influences that straddle the decades Deadlegs have spent the last twelve months creating their own explosive brand of dirty, wonky pop music. This trio have a beauty that cuts to the core, with a simple sound and a complicated woman.

Alice HaleOffspring of the Brit School Class of 2006, female songsmith Alice Hale creates dreamy song-scapes that lift you from your world into hers. Alongside poignant lyrics delivered through folk-tinged melodies, her heady yet clever mix of styles combine to deliver a unique listening experience. Influences include Joni Mitchell, Ry Cooder and Feist.
