The Correspondents started out in November 2007, when old friends, Mr Bruce and Mr Chuckles, returned to London after a firm schooling at their respective Universities. In Leeds Mr Chuckles had been tinkering with the sounds of Hip Hop, Jazz and Dance music for several years, meanwhile further North in Edinburgh Mr Bruce exerted his vocal dexterity over Drum 'n' Bass, Breaks & Funk. The unlikely pair cut their teeth at a few parties and decided to cement the live performance relationship in their makeshift recording studio. Since then tracks have been recorded, stages have been stomped and knees have hit nipples.

Central Spillz
Perfectly embodying the increasingly open-minded, ‘mash-up' approach to bass-heavy dance music that so defines the current musical zeitgeist, Central Spillz truly are the sound of a new generation, flaunting a staggering breadth of influence and variety of talent that sets them apart from the crowd.
Now, with their live show polished to perfection and a solid raft of studio work behind them (including their forthcoming first full-length LP ‘Space Travel'), Central Spillz are poised to explode from the local to the national stage. http://www.myspace.com/centralspillzmusic
Roots Manuva
One of the UK's most exciting talents and a genuine maestro whose work redfines the words ‘critical' and ‘acclaim'. A series of chart hits haven't dented the appeal and street cred for one of the top hip hop/dub/electronica exponents of his generation. On at around 9pm in The Amphitheatre, this is the highlight of the musical calendar in Bristol this year and a sure fire sell out. Please arrive early.

3 Daft Monkeys
A veritable melee of musical styles are all evident within the 3 Daft Monkeys' music - a unique brand of rousing vocals, frenetic fiddling, 12-string guitar, dancing bass and foot drum produce a ‘style' which is far too diverse to the pigeonholed into one genre. Cornish trio 3DM create a stunning blend of upbeat, danceable music which, despite all its world influences, remains undeniably British. Their most recent album ‘Social Vertigo' has been acclaimed by critics and fans alike and several tracks have been aired on BBC Radio 2. The band's previous album Hubbadillia sold over 5,000 copies purely through word of mouth, and without any distribution or label deal.
Whatever your taste in music, 3 Daft Monkeys offer something special and their unique blend of high octane, funked-up folk is guaranteed to get you dancing!
